Then it just drops me to a prompt where I started. Logging back in and typing 'sudo shutdown now' in a terminal gives the following: Failed to open /dev/initctl: No such device or address Failed to talk to init daemon. Description of problem: Whenever I restart, it will log me out and will not restart.
